I never stop creating.
Even off the clock. These are the things I make with no brief and no deadline, just ideas I couldn’t leave alone.

LOTR Live
A companion app for the Lord of the Rings films. As the movie plays, it follows each character across a map of Middle-earth in real time, with lore popups timed to the scene and watch parties that keep every screen in sync.

Nintendo Switch costume
My son wanted to be a Nintendo Switch for Halloween, so I built him one that works, 2.4 times life size: a real screen, giant Joy-Cons strapped to his arms, and a real console in a backpack. I modeled every printed part myself.

Custom-built home security system
A whole-home alarm system I designed and built to replace a subscription service. The keypad is a wall-mounted tablet running software I developed, and the system arms itself when we leave.

Orchestrate, don’t generate
A LinkedIn banner built as a real 3D scene, by directing AI to operate Blender instead of asking an image generator for a picture. Two days, 40 renders, and a source file I can keep editing.

Pantry
A shared household list app I designed and developed. Add an item from the website, the app, a widget, or by voice, and it is on every phone, watch, and computer in the house, sorted by store.

Baseball Assistant
A coaching app for the youth teams I coach. It builds fielding rotations that give every player a fair share of the field, works out batting orders, and keeps score on game day.

Minecraft and the Search for the Sunken Treasure
An 11-minute Minecraft adventure movie that I helped my son make. He wrote it, directed it, and supervised the editing and post-production, and we filmed it in costume in front of a green screen.

Center ice, in the garage
A garage floor made to look like center ice at the St. Louis Blues’ home rink: a 94-inch decal I cut from vinyl on a Cricut, on an epoxy floor chosen to look like ice. The boards are next.

USA photo map
A wooden map of the United States in which every state is its own picture frame, cut from basswood and held by magnets to a steel backing. Each state we visit gets a photo.

Calvin and Hobbes nursery mural
A mural I painted across a wall of my son’s nursery. A projector gave me the outlines to trace, and the rest was painted freehand from six sample jars of paint.
